This is for all you Turbo gurus, what exactly are the steps to do this correctly? I know that you have to loosen the 4 bolts and turn the housing to the correct position, but I also read somewhere that Ben Davis had to modify his wastegate a little to get it 100%. TIA gang! :)

Gang, I have been trying since 9am to turn the compressor housing to the correct position and I am about to toss this turbo through the window. I loosened the 4 bolts and used more than enough liquid wrench / PB Blaster to try and loosen the connection. I have tried everthing short of giving myself a hernia to get the housing to rotate, but it just wont bugde. Anyone out there have any tips on doing this? TIA, please help, this is my daily driver and it is up on jack stands at the present time! :(

You need to remove the C-Clip that holds the Compressor Housing to the Center Section and then rotate the housing! It should fit onto the Bluebird manifold w/o any problems!

Yeah just find some big snap ring pliers and loosen the snap ring and rotate the compressor housing (be careful with the wastegate actuator, don't turn it too much).
Also, when I did this on my turbo, I had some big problems with the snap ring (he's though!). If you have the possibility of just loosing it and turn the housing, do it. Try not get it outside of where it is.
