i looked around and i saw a lot of different opinions and prices on all flywheels but i thought it would be neat to have everything in one thread. Personnaly i am going to get the XTD but it would have been cool to have one thread with all flywheels commented on including stock ones that have been lightened compared to aftermarket flywheels.

i found these on ebay and will be buying one with my next paycheck.

this is the xtd one which i think is the better of the two because more of the weight seams to be taken from the outside.

and this is the clutchmasters one which to me is a more reputable name and is almost the same price, though not as good of a design really, it seams that they could have made it lighter if they copied the xtd design while still making it out of aluminum

I Have the Fidanza 8.5 Flywheel. Cant go wrong with the Fidanza. Plus you can just change the friction disc on it when you get a new clutch or whatever. I suggest you also change the Tranny fluid to the Redline MT90. It makes the car that much smoother.

EDIT: The 8.5 flywheel isnt as hard as people make it seem to be. Those people that complain must drive like their grandmas...... I also have the 4 Piece lightweight/underdrive pulley set and it really complimented the flywheel. It revs like a freaking motorcycle now.

Best Flywheel?

Turbo: XTD (IT IS NOT A (9lb flywheel as advertised. Its 10.5lbs
Naturally Aspirated: Fidanza 8.8lb flywheel

Ive had both and am speaking from first hand experience not something I heard. The XTD is in my car right now and I love it. Revs up just quick enough that I dont get crazy wheel spin like I did with the Fidanza. But when I had a DE I fell in LOVE with the throttle response of the Fidanza!

i was figuring the xtd wasnt 9 pounds as it is made out of chrome-moly and doesnt look like it has any more holes than the aluminum ones.

good stuff, wanna hear more

prostreet sells a nice one i think its around $285 and its not made in china! It weighs about 9 lbs. I put one in my NX sr20de with a exedy clutch and it wraps up fast. they are also a reputable company
