Well, I did some research and found the wiring diagram for the MSD 6-offroad box that I bought. I want to install it because my car is missing out, and I think this might help. My question is where do you splice in to use the box? Is it at the coil itself, or at the ignitor chip? And which wire do you splice into? Any help would be appricated.

I've replaced cap, rotor, wires & plugs. i checked the gap on the plugs and set them at .035 or whatever. Should I gap them tighter?:confused: It says to gap them at .32-.35 IIRC

I am guessing you have connected the big red wire to the battery(12Vdc), and black to gND, then which ever your MSD signal wire is you take the wire coming from the igniter chip which was initially going to your coil positive and butt those two.. then your orange from the MSD goes to coil positive and the black goes to coil Negative.. that should be it... you did upgrade to an MSD coil as well right??? I would if i were u...if not I have a stock coil i can sell you whenever yours goes out.. LOL... let me know if u need more help or gimme a call...

Thanks everyone! I got my MSD box installed last night, and the white wire(ignition pickup) hooks to the green/yellow wire. If someone will host my pic, I will post a pic of my custom bracket I made...and oh yeh, when you're hooking up your MSD box, make sure you A) have your negitive battery cable disconnected and B)have your coil wire hooked up!:D

My custom bracket is between the battery and the distributor.
