The owner of the car is Richard Duncan in Dallas. He seems pretty cool and is upfront about the problems of the car (or at least it seems that way). The car is a maroon 93 SE-R.

The car has the 5th gear pop-out. The sunroof doesn't open. The trunk has a small leak in it (around the seals I'm taking it), and the A/C "fast cycles" when it gets too hot. But he told me the motor runs strong and the car only has 116K miles on it.

I'm paying $1400 for it. Just seeing your thoughts on this purchase. Good? Bad? Anyone know Richard? Just the general questions.

Sounds like my car:) 93 SE-R, maroon, sunroof with 76k. Thank god I don't have the 5th gear popout issue or the sunroof and trunk leaking issue. Then again, I don't have 106k yet either----

Sounds like a decent deal to me at $1,400.

Yep, $1400 isn't that bad a price, despite the problems. Just be prepared to spend about that much to get everything ship shape. Double check the clutch, cv joints, rust, etc...

Still, for $1400, even with problems... not bad. Oh yeah, double check the VIN with carfax or equivalent business to make sure it's not a Salvage/Junk title. If it is a Salvage/Junk title, do not purchase it... it will be more trouble than it's worth.

If title is clean, sounds like a good deal.

Well guys,

I just got back from getting the car. Its an amazing car. The interior looks better than my 96. The exterior is nice too. There are a few dings here and there, and the bumpers are starting to fade. The A/C issue isn't that big of a deal since I have a friend that can get it fixed pretty cheap. The only 'major' problem is the pop-out in 5th. I'm not used to it, so for now its annoying. Anyway, I'll try to get some pics and post them later.
