Well this is my 1st post on sr20forums. I have a 97 200sx se-r, I bought for $2500. I traded in my 03 celica gts (divorce caused loss of celica)about a year & 1/2 ago.It "was" in decent shape just needed some T.L.C. before I wrecked it about 6 months ago, hydroplained & hit a curb at 40+mph.I finally am trying to get the car back on the road.I broke the pass. side wheel off the car, snapped the axle (was new replaced a couple of months prior to accident), bent the strut (also new including strut mount 1 month prior to accident), cracked the brake rotor off at the hub of the rotor (axle nut, hub of brake rotor, & wheel studs are still attached to the wheel). My pass. side lower control arm where the ball joint mounts, is U shaped. Wheel bearing of course is ruined. Sway bar mount is bent, suspect sway bar is also damaged. oil pan dented in the front, hope didnt damage the engine. I am also hoping for no subframe damage!!!!

the repair list "so far" :
used spindle & lower control arm, new brake rotors, new hub bearing & seal, brake pads, reman. axle, new strut, strut mount & bearing. oh yeah red top optima battery dead (transfered from celica wont take charge since has been sitting for about 6 months)

Wish List:
I would like to replace stock sway bars with a "performance oriented" sway bars & would also like to replace springs with "performance oriented" springs
to help make the car handle better. I am a drag racer, but if i end up on a twisty road I like to feel whats happening (struts would be next suspension mod & would be replaced when springs installed). This car is mostly a daily driver & weekend warrior car.

i would apopriciate any input on recommended sways & springs. unfortunatlly what brands worked best for my celica are not going to be best/recommended for my se-r. thanks in advance. I'll try to post pics this weekend.

Great for you, I just managed 377 miles on approx. 10.3 gallons in my N/A 91 ser sentra.
This car was one of my best investments.

Progress. No question about it. Probably only need the RSB for your intended usage.

Two (2) options only with stock length struts: Hyperco (Hypercoil) or Road Magnets.

KYB AGX or CSK's. CSK's would preferable. Plus with CSK's you could actually use some of the "other" aftermarket spring choices, maintain decent amounts of travel, and have a nice daily driver.

Read the following thread for further information on all of the above:

That will give you plenty of insight to all aspects of your suspension and modification options.

Best of luck.
