Hi could u just use the VE sensors, Throttle Body, MAF & Distributor instead of DE ones and just swap over the VE connectors on to the DE Harness would this work or is the change necessary

Match the sensors with the appropriate harness and ecu.

VE sensors go with VE harness and VE ecu.

De sensors go with DE harness and DE ecu.

That make things simpler. If you mismatched, count on cutting and splicing.

but i did not start this project with a Sr20DE so i have no sensors to swap over so i was just looking to see if it could be done with mod the DE harness to take VE sensors and will this cause any problems with calum tuned ECU

same sensors on the same harness.
You could use the de harness on the ve motor. same sensors just different areas.
but the distributor on a de and ve are different/b13. i dont know if your using a b14/b15 but the distributor on a b13 is different so you will have to use that one and will need to be cut
