I'm ripping apart my alternator.... (something to do)

I've got the rear casing off it, and the pulley, but how does the inner guts come out of that bearing thats in the front shell? The shaft just wont go through, even smashed the crap out of it with a hammer. didnt do much... missing something ?

If you look in a service manual it should tell how to.

Yeah, a service manual would definately have the details. And if I had a service manual I wouldnt have posted a message in here asking how to do it.
