HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
projectmk3 05-07-2008, 12:44 AM i get a ticking sound just like all other sr motors and all others are stock .....its your injectors working....maybe thats why you don't get any answers ....maybe you never noticed the ticking before you swapped it out
blackkila.gtr 05-07-2008, 01:10 AM but why whould the car just die.. it was workin **, but the fuel rail was bent so changed it and now this...
budgetNX 05-07-2008, 04:31 PM injectors tick..... caused by the little plungers going up and down inside of them...
as far as the car dying.. u need to let us no more than just the injectors are ticking..
cortrim1 05-07-2008, 06:57 PM injectors ticking is totally normal. its not that loud on the sr20 compared to other newer nissan motors.
zer099 05-07-2008, 07:29 PM Make sure you hooked up your fuel lines and vacuum lines correctly.
And yes, you injectors will tick. I know top feed ones like on the Rs are loud as hell.

nnoriega 05-07-2008, 07:55 PM Maybe you connected wrong your fuel lines, that happend to me ones, I don't remember what i was doing but when i tried to start my car, It keept dying on me, it was the lines, I switch the fuel filter line for the return line
GTiRyda 05-07-2008, 09:00 PM you want to hear loud injectors? Listen to a motor with direct injection, sounds like a fukin diesel
blackkila.gtr 05-08-2008, 08:13 PM ****,i my changed the fuel rail and one of the black spacers that go to one of the blots that bolts down to the manifold fell somewhere in my engine bay..
so im missing one of those.... now when at first when i started the car it would start right up and idle good for bout 5 seconds then start choking and the idleing dropped and the car pretty much died, this happened everytime i started the car up, today i tried to start the car it would not start it turned over but when it came on it pretty much choked from the start.. i also just put a manual boost controller on im wondering if that could be a factor also...
my fuel pressure seems to be at 35-40 psi...
i also smell fuel..
nismo94tuner 05-08-2008, 08:28 PM Did you lube the injector o-rings lightly before you popped them into the rail? Make sure you use a VERY light coat of vaseline. Also, make sure the hose coming out of the fuel filter is going to the fuel rail end that is opposite the side from the regulator. You probably hooked them up backwards. The injector ticking is normal. Find another black washer somewhere (junkyard or something) and you should be good man.
If its just cranking now, pull out the spark plugs. More than likely, you flooded the motor and they are drenched in fuel.
blackkila.gtr 05-09-2008, 12:32 AM ok *** try that tommorow, and get bak *** you....
blackkila.gtr 05-10-2008, 02:52 PM ok checked my plugs and the were drenched in fuel.. so i dried them off and tightened everything bak down.. tried to start the car and it never started... checked the plugs again drenched in fuel again,.. anyone know y that is??
budgetNX 05-10-2008, 04:14 PM injector o rings.

budgetNX 05-10-2008, 08:32 PM ur cars turbo right? why dont u already have 370s in there lol?
