: Almost done with the DET swap
Hey guys/Gals
Just got the motor in, and EVERYTHING back together worked on it for 16 hours yesterday with some friends (yeah, I'm slow :) anyway, getting towed to the custom shop for I/C mounting and piping; down pipe, and exhaust.... they will be able to do 2.5 inch manderal bent I/C and intake Piping. and they will also do a 3 inch down pipe and 3 inch exhaust all the way back. I am taking out the cat, and using a 24 inch long glass pack and a Dynomax muffler....
Soon to be on the road again, can't wait!!!!!

I bought my DET from JGY Customs... COULD NOT BE HAPPIER... he knows his stuff, the motor came in Quickly, and was CLEAN AS HELL!!!!!! He also followed up well to make sure my install went well... When dealing with an engine, paying a few extra bux to someone who knows what they are selling is PRICELESS!
Exhaust is done, now for the intercooler piping!!!
SR20DEVIL(T) 08-11-2002, 02:35 PM Yea, I got my DET from JGY also. It worked for 800 miles, but this was undoubtedly due to the way i was driving it. But who knows for sure. I am still contemplating whether or not to rebuild the Avenir or buy a BB long block. Maybe do both and sell one :). Congrats Neeraj...we will have to meet up sometime maybe next summer after I get done "tweaking" my DET :evil smile:
