Question regarding the SR18DE Highport rockers,

i currently have a low port sr20de head and engine which im rebuilding, i want to convert the head to highport, so i can run a jwt c2 cam

what i want to know is, i can get hold of a sr18de highport head, is the rockers in the sr18de the same as a sr20de highport head??

can anyone help??

I don't know of anyone that has taken one of the 18 heads apart to compare all the internals. Come to think of it I personally have never even seen one.

On a side note you can't change a lowport into a highport.. that would involve swapping out the entire head (because the ports are in different locations... thus the lowport-highport name)

Now what I'm imagining your trying to do is convert a low port roller rocker to a non roller rocker head to use the JWT c cams. Is this correct?

If so you will also need the spray bars, cam bearing bolts, possibly hvla's and the valve cover from the non roller head.

yeah thats correct,

i can get a sr18de head here in the uk, so i was thinking of using the rockers from it if they are the same
