Hello all

I'm back after a short cpu problem. Most of you all wont remember me ;) but that's ok.

Just a few questions before i buy a NX.

Whats the best parts about the nx?

What should someone ask for a 91 NX 2000 with a 120000 miles on it (guy is trying to sell it for 2000 but i have no cash for it but he said he would hold it) has little damage to it but engine sounds powerful.

Autocross car of not?

Are there parts avable for them? (mostly suspension and engine)

THanks for the relpys if i get any.

Or Should i go with a classic SE-R with a 184000 miles on it and has a ping and an exhaust leak in it.

Get the NX. Everything you would want is available for it. They use the same parts as the classics. The biggest difference is the brakes on the ABS models. They are usually used for upgrades on other models.

hey there...

id say go for the nx2000...its exactly similar to the sentra se-r classics...and most come fully powered....and the lovely T Tops (although mine doesn't)...

autocross...of course! ;)

about parts...it would be similar to that of a sentra se-r and i am sure u can get alot of em...so don't worry there...

go for the nx2000 between the too due to the lower mileage and less problems...the sentra might need the engine replaced sometime soon (so unless u wanna project car for a turbo or diff eng then go for it as it would be much cheaper)....

about what to look for...ask about the 5th gear popout....and then check for the usual stuff like rust....body (check for weld marks to indicate that it had been replaced with another body or something)....if u drive it and it feels fine...go ahead with your insticts....

good luck!

Go for the NX2000!! Just curious though, where did you find one in Roanoke? I am always on the lookout for SR20-powered cars, and don't see many.

Oh I thought that only the abs models came with the AD22VF brakes. My bad.

Yep - of the 4 NX's I've owned thus far I've got AD22VF's on all of them, only one had abs.

Something to remember: ALL NX2000's HAVE THE AD22VF BRAKES. The guys at the parts store may not understand, but it's true. Always tell them it's made in Japan, and if they tell you that there is more than one, tell them you want the big ones (this should also be your response to just about any question in life:p). I have been through this many times, and researched it well.

Oh, yeah, BTW, $2000 is a great buy on a clean NX2000 w/ 120K. There was one around here w/ the same mileage for $3999. I think $2800-$3000 is average. Get the NX. Every performance part that will fit a Classic will fit the NX, except Cat-back exhaust systems.

A little off-topic here, but, kelway I think a Courtesy mid-pipe will fit on an NX2K! It's the axle-back section that is shorter.

Is that a fact? I changed the axle back and kept my stock mounting flange. Is anyone running the courtesy b-pipe on there NX? If so how long is the resonator. I like the sound of my car now but really don't want it any louder.

Yeah, you are right about the B-pipe. I just meant the whole cat-back systems that you buy as a whole.
