: Weight of a stock Classic SE-R Benny Boy 08-07-2002, 01:55 AM How much do they weigh? The inside of the door says that the GVWR is 3400 or so pounds. I know that the weight in there is w/ four full adults and a turnk full of luggage. Anyone weigh their cars? Just curious. Empty weight means all fluids except fuel. Add 100 pounds for full tank of gas @ approx 7.5 lb/gal. GVWR and payload are listed on door jamb of Classic. The "empty weight" in the above equation comes out to 2593 lbs, or over 100lbs above what the car really weighs. GVWR should never be used to calculate actual curb weight. Use a scale. Of course it will smoke the Spec V. You will need to strap a turbine engine on the Spec V in order to even keep pace with a stock Classic.
