Just wondering if any one has seen a custom grille on an SE-L, without having the need of replacing the stock lights...

If you are looking to replace the solid grille for the honeycomb, yes, you will need to change headlights. It's a good excuse for some projectors!

I'm thinking of removing my 99' "Grill" if you must call it that.... it's just a piece of plastic! I heard we could install a 98 SE Grill /w a little help of strap ties... but of course still have to contend with the holes from the headlights.

I am going to try and yank out the original plastic thing and see if I can create a custom grill of some sort. My buddy's bro has some Carbon Fiber stuff... maybe will try that :)

i put a mesh grille in the holes (between the headlights, and in the bumper
between the foglights)i dont have any pics to show sorry, but it looks
good. I got my mesh from Home Depot (gutter gaurd) only like 2 bux.
came out looking good

the spot between the headlights
has 2 screws i think they have something to do with
the bumper. If u pop the hood and look down u can
see them. They have big octagonal heads.
I bent *** mesh back on the bottom and
put those screws back in through the mesh.
so those screws hold the grille in. U need to do sum
cutting on the mesh on the top to make it go around
the brackets holding stock grille thing.
In the bumper i had another pair of foglights so i
kinda did *** same thing and bent a part of the mesh and
used my foglight screws to hold it in place

i dunno if that will make sense to u or not, but....
its probly a lot easier than i make it sound.
but thats it,
