I know some car manufaturers have the sunroof as a dealer installed option. But aren't sunroofs standard on an SE-R? I finally found a red SE-R in Canada. 160km for $7k but it has no sunroof. Its about 2hours away so I dont wanna make the long drive for nothing. If I can install the roof will it be expensive to do at the dealer?

Does anyone elses SE-R not have the roof?

I don't know about Canada, but in the US, the sunroof was an option on the B14 SE-R. ABS was the only other factory option on the '95-'97. The non-sunroof versions were quite rare, I'd take it, as it gives more helmet room.

Do these roofs pop up and back wards or slide inside the lining and backwards?

I've only seen 1 B14 SE-R without a sunroof. The guy ordered it that way. B13s were more common without sunroofs.

Thats funny you said that. I'm Russian and someone once asked me whether I lived in an igloo when I was in Russia. there are some dumb people out there........

Now how about that Lada? Can you find one for me or what?!?

My 95 SE-R has a sunroof. The woman I bought it from said the car had the "gold package" which I guess includes the sunroof. She bought it new from Sherway Nissan (in Etobicoke I think).

Congratulations on finding one by the way. I got mine in February without knowing anything about 200SX's or how rare they were. Post some pics and maybe I'll see you around Toronto...

By the way, I have seen one other red SE-R in the Yonge & St. Clair area.

When I purchased my 1996 SE-R the sunroof (moonroof) was an option. About $800. ABS, Automatic and a lighter were the only other options.

Dave from west palm has one w/out the sunroof. He said something about it weighing a lot and he was grateful to not have one. He looked hard for it. I guess it makes perfect sense if you don't want to weigh your car down.

is it a sunroof or a moon roof? because i heard the ones that slide up and are not clear are sunroofs; and that the moonroofs were the ones that are clear and slide inside.

sunroofs are bare metal, moonroofs are glass.

I'll look into the samara but I've sourced a niva :D

...in that case I have a moonroof, not a sunroof.

Aha, right. Thats the perfect excuse when you're jealous of the guy who has one. :D
