: Removing Upper Oil Pan(One bolt left!)

I am in the process of trying to remove my upper oil pan to replace the bearings in my 91 NX 2000. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get out the one bolt hidden behind the main pulley. The lip of the pan leaves very little room to work. Is there any way to get that bolt out without removing the pully and alternator? There is barely enough clearance to get a socket and ratchet in there, but the angle is so steep I can't do anything.

Sooo, does anyone have any idea on how to get this sucker out. I've tried everything in my toolbox, u-joints, extensions..I can't think of anything that can get up in there.

Thanks in advance,
-Dan

Every time ive helped remove one or put one back on we use a boxed in wrench usualy. If you have a 6 sided one its even better, the 12 pointers can strip it if you arent careful. Get one, and a rubber or dead blow mallet and tap it, turns it into an impact wrench real easlly.

i'm not having a problem with the nuts being too tight on there. it's a problem of have no space at all to even turn the wrench at ALL up in there...

This is my problem, now. Any more suggestions, or is the 6 point boxed wrench the solution?
