my buddy wolfcri and i had to figure this out the other night. From Pep Boys we picked up a 5 groove belt at 40 inches, that was just a tad too long. Figure a 35 inch one should fit, which they have. We'll pick one up today and let you know.

Go to the dealer and ask for a belt for a car with no A/C. They'll have it, that's where I got mine.

Yeah all you have to do is get one for a car that had no a/c. And it is actually a thinner belt too.

The non-AC belt will probably be a 4-rib. If so, just put it on and prepare for the squeal that is coming the first few times you start it up.
Just tighten the belt up, and it will work just fine. I did the same thing when I removed AC, and James Vick has done the same on his classic.
