Ok I am coming up to Indy for the F1 race september the 29th. Appears its going to be me and Calum, maybe our friend Kevin Newman. Probaly be staying with Ben, as was the plan a few weeks ago. Planning to have a full weekend ***. Get up there late friday as usual, get up and go to the practice/qualifiing on saturday afternoon, sunday the race and head home. Saturday night there will not be a lot going on so figure maybe a b&p (beer/root beer & pizza) get together then. Id like to get a bunch of people together to see the race as well. Think Greg said he might be down for it depending on football season schedules. Tickets range from 45-like 200 for sunday race, saturday is 20 bucks to get in and you do what you want basicly. I dont know any good seats at Indy but looking the tower might not be a bad deal at 85 dollars. I want to see as much as i can and have a blast doing it. If anyone would want to join the festivities speak up. Maybe we could go to gether and one person buy all the tickets and we all sit together if we really wanted to try for that. I plan to have tickets purcashed by early next week ***. So speak up.

Big man,
Let me know what you have in mind.
I plan on going out Saturday for practice/qualifying/support races. I don't bother going Sunday as the actual race is usually boring. In my opinion more of the action takes place Saturday. You definately will want to take the opportunity to move around and sit in as many different spots as possible on Saturday. The outside of the oval turn 1 is great, the outside of the oval turn 4 (where you see the F1 turns 1 thru about 6) is also a very popular place. Some of the slower corners after the "backstretch" down Hulman Blvd in the center of the speedway is also a great place to see the cars up close.

Yea tickets for that turn on seating is dirt cheap. I know saturday is the coolest, cheap and you can do what you want basicly. But I want to be able to say ive sat at a F1 race. Ive been to thunder ally at bristol for the drags seen john force run, been to bristol's fishbowl errr i mean track, just want to see a F1 race. Would like to see a cart or indy race but not many close tracks that you can actualy get tickets for. Then maybe next year ill make it to the scca rally in cattanoga. Know what i mean...racing is racing in all its forms ill give each their respect they deserve. Want to sit and watch it form the stands, even *** i know you get a better show on tv. speedvision will replay it a hundred times so no worry about seeing the good stuff :)
ill keep you informed on what is going on, will have to meet up saturday before we go in thats for sure. Figure can get alot more people to meet up saturday since tickets are 20 bucks. But sunday is just something I want to do for myself.
As I've said, I'm there. The only race I've ever been to was the ATSCO (sp?) Nationals at Phoenix Int'l Raceway. Top fuelers rock. :)
I don't know that I'm willing to spend $85 to the race. I'm cheap. :) $20 for Saturday would rock though. That would give us Sunday to maybe watch the race on TV and screw around at my place or something. Maybe try that go kart place in town, or better yet, really cool go kart place in Indy.
I'm in. Sleeping space for 7-8 at my place.
