ok, back when i first got my car, it did a 10.1 1/8 mile @ 69 totally stock. then i modded it(PR CAI, pacesetter header, pacesetter catback) and i did a 9.43 1/8 mile @73MPH. i was happy. then the tranny broke, and I had to sell all the mods to finance a new one :( i took the car back with just a cone filter and did 10.1, but this time trapped 71, which is decent for an almost stock classic. fast forward a few months. my buddy just bought a 94 se-r for a DET swap that came with a Stillen 4-2-1 header and a courtesy/topspeed 2.5" mandrel catback. being the nice guy that he is, he gave them to me, and i put those on, along with my new b14 wheels, and hit the strip tonight. the best that i could do was a 9.9@69-70  im not sure whats wrong, the header was cracked when i got it and i had it welded, but it still leaks a little. the car was running REALLY shitty for 2 days due to a massive intake leak, and it messed the plugs up pretty bad, so tomorrow im gonna change the plugs and check the timing. any other suggestions??
thanks

ok i know b13 has 14in wheels and a b-14 (se-r) has 15in is your tire size diffrent. A smaller tire is like changing your gears lower and bigger tire is like a higher gear

i changed the plugs today, it had some crusty looking bosch plats in it, i put NGK BKR6E-11's gapped at .045" and it seems to run alot smoother. i may go to the track again tonight, so we'll see

Man, I didn't read that properly, and I thought you were running quarters at that time, and I'm thinking, "You're complaining you're down on power with a stock car with those times?!" Was also wondering how you were clocking such short times with such low final speeds

OK 1st Playa what where your 60' times?
Where they as good as you 9.9 runs?
Don't get down on yourself!
After I swapped engines and bought the UR 2 pulley set I just knew I was going to run a 9.5-9.4 run. Well the first couple of trips to the track I was barely making a 9.7.
I went tonight and tried some new luanching tech. and ran a
9.465 with a 2.142 60'.
give it time and go back next week, it will probably get better.
