OK - so the car was really hard to drive with AC on, really laggy, and finally ac stopped working - then I started smelling burnt rubber - problem? Frozen ac clutch on the compressor...
So no biggie right, 10 minute fix it job (just bypassing the AC compressor) while I change the oil on my NX last night...
WRONG...
First they gave me the wrong belt - luckily I had one in stock for my DET swap into the 200sx.... So I lower the alternator all the way down and click, humm thats funny it hits the AC compresor - oh well the belt should go on - WRONG...
Had to drop the AC compressor to get the alternator down enough to get the belt over the pulley....
Anyways so I get that all done start her up and she runs just fine - next minor problem, plug wire #2 keeps popping out - they were old bosch's so hey I'll replace em - no problem right?
WRONG...
Two of the metal clips that attach to the plugs came out of the rubber plug wire and were easily removed with needle nose pliers - but THEN, on the last plug the rubber water seal boot got STUCK on the spark plug... I couldn't get a socket on the plug and couldin't get it to come back up at all....
45mins later with the help of a coat hanger I had it - NOT FUN...
Good news - the car runs freakin awesome - I atrributed not being able to chirp 2nd to a weak clutch, but the car can now, I'm sure the plug wires and dying ac compressor stole some major HP...
Bad news - if it gets 100 here again like it was last weekend, I'll be hating life, even with T-Tops...
Chris - needing a new AC compressor but trying to hold off till next year like the cheap ass that I am...
