Incon GTBB3037, $1600, from andreas miko

OK mister MULEMAN I got the turbo for you. Incon GTBB37. The turbo is good for 385 to the wheels so far. That HP level will top out your injs by about 25 WHP. Whenever you are ready to do this lets rock. Turbo is waiting for a good home and you seem to be the happy foster parent.

ok that was one of the turbo i was intrested in also a t3/t04e from louis .82 A/R Turbine
Stage III Turbine

.60 A/R Compressor Housing
60 Trim Compressor Wheel
Why is one 1600 and one is 595?

makes you wonder doesn't it? Ball bearing and bushing is the biggest thing I'm sure. I got the T3/T04E from Louis.. and I must say that it's a great turbo! Awesome guy to do business with as well!

The GTBB37 is a newer design. Pretty sure it has higher efficiency, better spool, the BB's help, etc.

what are the specs on this turbo? Efficiency, wheel sizes, compressor and exhaust A/R? What does it spool at on a 9.5:1 motor? I know it depends on mods.. but a round about figure...

What is the Diffrence from the T03/04 and the GTBB3037 turbo? I Really don't want to start with a T25 turbo.. and How long do it take for a T03/04 to spool up?

I'm wondering this as well... that's a lot of money.. considering a you could buy 3 T3/T04E's for one of those. I mean.. unless it's some "Magical Turbo"... I can't see spending that kind of money on it.. The T3/T04 is a nice turbo and I'm happy with it..

Well, I'm surprised you havn't come to realization on this Travis.
On a High hp car the average life duration of a sleeve bearing turbo is about 8 months. Ball bearing turbos are proven to have much longer life and spool quicker. Quicker spool is more power under the curve. The 3037 is more efficient in desing than a standard To4e, more power @ same boost, lower EGT's @ same boost, etc. Thats enough right there to make me want one.

Longer turbo life
Quicker spool
Power with peace of mind

I like it!

well, the GT turbo made ~350 whp at 15 psi. it uses a T25 exh flange, meaning finding a nice, crack free manifold will be easy. plus you can use an internal wastegate, making plumbing easier.

also, for those of you with Avenir/GTiR manifolds, this one bolts right up.

i plan on upgrading my setup to this. remember, for me it is like this:

wastegate: $300
manifold: $400
laggy T3/T04E from the 80's and makes a little more power: $600
downpipe: $300

total $1600

-OR-

INCON turbo: $1600
int wastegate: $175

total: $1775, add another $300 for a GTiR manifold and $300 for a downpipe, and it only costs $775 more (a drop in the hat for a 350+HP turbo setup) for a turbo that is worlds ahead of the T3/T04E in nearly every sense other than peak power.

both will require new fuel setups, 4 bar 50 lb with Z32 MAF, ~$600 (already have JWT ECU)

the incon setup (if similiar to the GT3037) will give positive boost in the low 2000 range, whereas the 0.82 A/R will be making boost around 4000-4500. lets not even get started on transient response. i have driven 0.82 setups, and i am not impressed with response to say the least.

the INCON will last longer.

the INCON will still work with most of my heatshields, making the setup nearly invisible to cops.

the INCON will have more ooh and ahh appeal.

the INCON will not piss me off.

the INCON has so far hit 11.5@123 (or so) best 0.82 time i have seen is 11.9@118, on a street car at least. (correct me if i am wrong)

the list goes on and on.....

Correct me if Im wrong but I believe that Ben B ran an 11.33 on his street driven 200sx a couple years back. A video of the run http://www.se-r.net./multimedia/videos/pomona1/ben_11.mpg My brother also ran an 11.9 in his heavy sentra with a .82 housing. You hit the head right on the dot about the lag. But what can you do with all that power down low anyways. I have driven some higher boost small turbo cars before and all they seem to do is spin the tires then run out of power.

but didnt ben do that with the help pf NOS?

well, yeah, at higher boost levels on the street, the smaller turbos have a nice tendecy to annihilate the tires at low speeds (such as hitting like 10 psi at 3000 rpm in 1st) but the nice thing about the smaller setups is the transient response, it is kind of unsettling to be going around a corner and hit the gas and hit full boost a second later. the bigger turbos have a tendecy be all or nothing, most lag until like 4000 or so rpm, but by 5000 they are hitting like 15-20 psi. kinda scary for a road car, especially one that is driven down windy ass roads daily. in AZ 0.82 A/R turbos are perfect, all straight roads! :D

the other nice thing about smaller turbos is at the strip. the amount of lag time when you drop the hammer to full boost is greatly reduced. cutting down 60' times and, with them, ETs.

besides, i have gotten spoiled by my T25, and i dont want to give its tractability up. its also nice to go to the local track, smoke some domestic boys and when i pop the hood they only see a stock looking, smallish turbo with heat shields still intact. i would then, to make them scratch their heads even more, tell them i only upped the boost, upgraded the IC and got a 3" mandrel cat back.

now, from what i have seen from GT3037s, they keep the fires lit even at high rpm, very close to the bigger 0.82 A/Rs in keeping the torque curve alive above 6500, except at really high boost levels (which i am not likely to hit, as i dont want to sign up for the semiannual tranny replacement program) remember, this is a 0.86 A/R T25, which isnt what most would consider small. and it has a better designed wheel, aerodynamically.

hey andreas, do you have any dyno curves of this turbo?

Good answer Steve. Just testing. Its a whole different feel. One that I’m not used to. I was considering a 3037 swap myself but done know how I "straight line boy" will like it. I don’t know why everyone says that a .82 is untreatable ect. It just feels totally opposite of t25. You have everything down low and I have everything up high. I like the way the boost comes on in 2nd gear on the larger turbo. It almost works like traction control. lol But when it does reach 5000rpm hold on to your seats. I smoked a brand new c5 vette that was ahead of me down to the merger of the freeway on ramp this mourning on only 10psi.

The INCON turbo is not the same thing as a GT3037. Do a search and you will see numerous discussions on this.

yeah, i ran my friend's C5, and even 3rd-nearly 5th, i have him beat. from the line, however, it kinda sucks having wrong wheel drive.

hey Rob, i know they are different turbos, but they have very similiar specs. i must admit though, i may be doing a little too much assumption here. a reading i will go!

Steve how much faster can you get. A 12.9 @ 107 on A T25!!!Thats freakin awsome!!! We just got my friends g20 done with a det setup. The car is not running that well. To many leaking intercooler pipes. But man was I surprised by that little t25. He already wants to get the gtir setup on there. I almost forgot, I hope everyone doesnt think Im being in dick in here. Just having fun

was this the avenir T25 setup your bro was askin me about?

intercooler piping leaks suck (dont ask me how i know)

those who know you shawn know youre not a dick, dont even worry about it.

i too am growing tired of the limitations of the T25, i need more power, i wanna hit 11s and get booted.

hey shawn, you plan on getting booted off the track soon now that you have that new king kong turbo?
