A friend of mine decided he wanted a project car and so i found a 240 in a junk yard and he jumped on it. The car is a piece but of course thats the point. We started the project and of course i forgot to bring the camera until the third day, today. Ne ways, this project will prolly be for either an Rb25 or Rb26. Thats still kind of up in the air.
Alright, here are some starter pics after we ripped out the majority of the interior, and most of the stuff under the hood. My project was done in a rinky dink garage... now we get the full extent of a nissan shop and dear lord its like a little piece of heaven!

More pics tomorrow, should have some stuff cleaned a bit and hopefully alot of stuff painted and cleaned by next weekend. Need some time to decide on a motor and power goals.

Most likely we'll be getting a front clip (halfcut, whatever you would like to call it) for the motor. If we get the Rb26, we will also do the AWD conversion which, of course, will lengthen the project and jack the price up. There is a fella i was readying about yesterday who did the Rb26 swap and the AWD and the project cost 12.5k. I believe he had alot of help from a local shop that wanted to see an awd s13 so our setup would be alot harder. Either way, we should know what exactly we wanna do in the next few days. Should have some pics up soon of new stuff done.

If your friend wants to drive the car some time soon like in the next year or so just keep it RWD. Buy the RB25 and do the maintenance on the motor. I'm on a few RB forums and alot of people say they want to AWD the S chassis till they start looking deep into it and find out there bank isn't big enough. Most the the 26 guys spend close to 12k just making the car RWD with nice stuff. Most find that when they get there 26 it's in very bad shape, R32's and some R33 early models have the bad crank collar that will slip in the high RPMS and kill the oil pump drive. Then you need to change the oil pan and ect. I only know of 2 awd S chassis RB26's.

Yeah, chances are it will be an Rb25 and just keep it RWD. We pulled the dash today and we're finishing up getting the engine bay ready for sand/prime/paint. Camera batteries were dead so pics up tomorrow maybe lol.

Sorry for the late update, the 4th kinda threw everything off.
Dash is out and engine bay will be ready to paint soon though we should be getting the rb25 first as we can work on that while the car gets taken care of. Jason (project owner, guy in the pic) wants to paint the car a deep blue and so would want the engine bay the same color, but its still up in the air.

Next step may be some prep for painting while we decide who to get the motor from and other supporting mods we'll need.

I did this to my car, and then remembered I didn't have any money. Doh! It's still in my back yard.

Have fun.

lol nice! Money isnt too much of an issue here. Motor should be ordered in a couple weeks.
We still have some cleaning to do, so a few more pics will be up soon though they will still be boring lol.

Sorry our project isnt moving as fast at Andy's... he set the bar kinda high!

Finished gutting the harness from the engine bay. Decided we would drop the tank and clean some stuff up. Also working on finding the right fittings for the steering rack loop. AN fittings are really more than worth it, though they look soooo good!

Pressure washed it and used some solvent on the rubberized coating on the buttom, but it took a while so we're just gonna use some stripper on it.

Should have some more going on soon inside the car and prolly some minor rust cleanup underneath the chasis and a slight touch of it under the hood.
