Man, I'm using the bottle up pretty quickly! Of course, I'm making quite a few runs, but that bottle doesn't last too long... I'm thinking of going with a 15 pound bottle.... later I'm going to go to the dark side....

I still need to try different plugs and gaps to see if I can optimize the hits. These plugs make the car run like shit before warming up.

I believe tonight I'm going to try something different: mixing 110 & 93 1 to 1 into 5 gallons and add a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and then throw on the .055 jet and see what happens...

Does the heater make a big difference? I need to install my heater with my 100 shot.

yeah, the heater made a HUGE difference... it keeps the bottle at 85 degrees... without it, I couldn't make a run back to back

forgive my ignorance, but why couldn't you run back to back without the bottle being heated? (honestly don't know, not being sarcastic)

If the bottle isn't heated, then you lose pressure. If you lose pressure, you don't get as big of a shot. Every time you spray, your pressure falls b/c the nitrous gets very cold.

Yep, your bottle get ice cold when u use it spray after spray.

When i wasted a full bottle in one night after racing w/juice, and when i change my other bottle, the old one was ice cold

What I want to know is how big of a difference a bottle heater makes? I'm spraying an 85 wet shot with direct port with no bottle heater. It really doesn't "feel" like that big of a shot, but it may be since I don't have my exhaust on yet or my heater? Any suggestions?

I ran without a heater when I had my NOS kit. I went to Home Depot and bought a little propane torch (skiny blue bottles with the striker tip). I heated the bottle that way then threw a NOS brand blanket on it. It kept the bottle warm. The propane torch is not the safest method but a hell of alot cheaper.:D You will be surprised how many people use this method. Walk around your drag strip next time and you will notice a bunch of people heating there bottles this way!;)

BOOM!!!!!!!!

seriously, how much to bottle heaters run? I don't imagine I'll NEED one badly, but just ballpark for the future if I upgrade the shot

The N.O.S. brand heater is $130. The cool thing is it has a switch, thermostat, and a good size element. I'm impressed with it.

Man, I like the torch idea... I was using a hair dryer at home! Just heat it till it gets to 1000 pounds!

The difference that it makes is the amount of pressure that the bottle has when kept warm. This in conjunction with the blanket is like a nice warm koozie for it! I noticed that after a couple of runs, my bottle would get cold enough for the pressure to fall to around 650psi!! That sucks! I could'nt get hardly anything with that little of pressure. The warmer keeps the bottle at or a little above 900psi.

I heated it once with a hairdryer to 1050 psi and man, that was quite a hit! I couldn't control the car!

Ya, my current shot feels like a 40 shot without a heater. Also, I have the stock exhaust on as well. We'll see how it goes with both added.

Way to low bro. Bring the pressure up to about 950-1000 and hold on. Its amazing how big of a difference you will notice!

There's your problem - you need a higher bottle pressure. Looks like you need a warmer.
