It needs to be a 2 plug model and you will need to take the cap and rotor off. Yes my distributor does look the same from what I can see. I would have to ask on my board to see if everything internal is the same not just the appearance. I most have read the things 10 times before I had the guts to do it. You need a thin tip for your soldering iron to fit down that hole. Also a dremel helps cut the piece out. Mine actually came out in 2 pieces up top and then way down in that hole. I think there is a weld kinda thing in that hole that breaks when you use the dremel to file it down. Leaves a nice very small tab to soldier to. Also, MSD has a good tech site plus a phone number for advice.
