It will not hold up for more than 3 month. I built one of these already and the tranny told us to fuck off.

LMFAO

I have heard of an automatic g20 with a bolt on turbo. I read it a few months ago. The guy was from toronto also. I lists the parts he needed to complete his project. I dont think he updated his site but I know he got it runnin', how long the slushbox lasted i dont know

L. Stackhouse has a BB in his 93 classic auto. Thing is the tranny doesnt like more than about 225 or 250 hp at the wheels or it starts chunking the clutch material and cloging up things. a t25 it should handle fine, a few people are doing that, but a t28 it might not last. Doc Lew had a hks kit on his car for a long time before putting a level 10 tranny in. but id make sure your tranny was in tip top shape before doing any of that to it.

Stack's SE-R is realistically only making about 200 whp, and the clutch pads in the tranny are shot. He soon will be driving on a level 10 as well. Unfortuantely, for an auto, I thinks its a necessary evil.

Agree. My pops did a 95 G20 this spring with an BB Det and F-Max stage 2. At 15psi, it pulled great on the auto, but shows no contest to another customer with the same set-up on the manual tranni.

All in all, it's good for a daily driver.

never said it was faster... but it is consistent thats for sure. like i said on the stock tranny and one that is in tip top shape, if you are putting down around 200 hp to the wheels you are probaly going to eat though the tranny really quick. stock bb shouldnt be too bad, would like to know what they put in for clutches in the bb's over there or if that is one of the reasons the engine and tranny gets junked so quickly.

I've got a SR20DE with a bolt on T28 custom manifold 2.5" front mount intercooler etc on my four speed auto trans 1999 Pulsar SSS S2

The mods make for around 180-200whp on 6psi depending on the temp.

And yes the clutch started to slip after about 6 months. The 3rd gear clutch plates welded themselves together. Had the trans rebuilt with extra clutch plates and stenghtening. The auto trans's weak spot is 3rd gear and is damn expensive to rebuild.
