Just got my new turbo in this weekend and slapped in a new set of BKR7E plugs. Ran great all day sunday, frigin smooth. But its starting to do what it was doing prior to the plug swap, once you get on full boost, it sounds like its detonating. Not sure if it IS, but sounds like a jackhammer really fast and you boost but dont go anywhere. Should I step back to the BKR6E plugs and test it? TIA! :D

Actually, the reverse. Colder plugs are supposed to help prevent detonation by removing heat from the cylinder quicker than a hotter plug. (If you don't need to use a colder plug, then I wouldn't recommend it because they can foul if you don't drive hard enough or long enough.)
Are the plugs gapped correctly? How much boost are you running? Try dropping the boost.
If you're detonating, then I would think that the car would run really strong from spikes in cylinder pressure.
Michael.

Well, seeing how that I had to make my own bracket for the WG, since I am running a ball bearing T25 form an S14, I tied to get the OEM setting of the WG ead on. It will boost up to about 9 - 9.5 PSI on spikes but on long runs it settles down to 7. The gap is whatever was set from Courtesy. Going by the ole eye, since my gapper was unavailable, they looked dead on, old vs. new. I am going to set them at .035 today and see where we go! THANKS! :D

The 7's wouldn't detonate. i'm running a 6 heat range with no probs with my t25. I'd guess that since you said that you didn't gap them, they're probably way too big and it's just misfiring up top. So shrinking the gap down to about .03 would probably fix the prob.
