Well, my Pacesetter exhaust was great until it started to rattle. Swapped muffler for a stainless 3A Racing on mechanic's advice; rattle went away, but GOOD LORD was it loud. Here's the solution:

What you see here is the 3A attached to the PS tubing. I still think that for NA applications the PS is hard to beat - mandrel bent for $160.

Here's the resonator on the PS unit. It's louvered, which is good (for sound deadening), but it's also small, which isn't so good.

Thrush to the rescue! Here you see the Thrush perforated glasspack we've all come to know and love (24201); to make extra sure the car would shut up I had the welder stick the PS resonator in where the piping heads for the passenger side.
Result? No more bleeding from the ears. I can even hear the intake again. :D :D
