: F-max installation question(The black box) Roll-Mod-L 08-12-2002, 08:14 PM There is a black box on the front of the engine. Its approximately 5x3 in width. It looks like some sort of catch can or pollution device. It is vented directly to the valve cover. 1)If I get rid of this will it cause any problems? 2)How do I go about bypassing this box? 3)Would I still need to run the vent hose from the cover to the intake and if I do this, the f-max intake only comes with 2 tubes as opposed to the Hotshot CAI with 3. What did you do at the front of the block where the hose originally connected to the bottom of the oil seperator, plug it closed? Chris nsracer 08-13-2002, 12:01 PM LOL! Actually, I just use it when people ask me what my car used to look like when it was turbo; my layout was almost identical to Jay's. The hose at the front of the block is still hooked up to the bottom of the seperator. I plugged the port on the F-Max intake tube. | ||
