Ok here goes. Feel free to flame away all you smart-asses...

If I bought an '93 NX with an automatic, theoretically I would have all (most) of the parts to swap over with my classic.

Then I would have a nice 5sp NX, (with really low mileage) and my sister would have a nice auto 91 classic to beat on for her first car.

I have time, tools, garage, and patience (ok not really).

Issues I forsee; Cable driven versus electronic speedo.
Cutting firewall for clutch pedal on NX?
Wiring harnesses

Thanks for any help, and If you piss on this thread make it funny please.

The speedo issue is simple. Just swap the sender between the two transmissions. This is assuming you can get them off, Bill broke them on both tranny's when he swapped a 943 drivetrain into my old 91.

hehe... yeah and you should see the condition of the 91's tranny. The thing is so grimy. I think it's solid, but can't say until I put a new oem clutch cable in. Id' better just order the sender, and switches now.
The plug wires are some blue no name brand too. I don't know what is really choking the engine, cause I haven't fucked with it too much. I wonder ***'

When it comes to the speedo sender units, I can't emphasize enough about swapping them when the trannies are out of the car. I swapped in a '95 tranny and I thought the units were the same, except the plugs are just a little different, therefore when I went to plug it in, no luck. Still can't get the unit out of the '95.
Huge pain!!

I don't know what the trick is to getting them out, but I recall reading that other people have broken them while attempting to remove them as well.

I will definitely break them. (clumsy) I'd better just get new ones.

I may just buy a 5sp NX with a few more miles.
