jonwepa 08-19-2008, 08:09 AM Whats the serial #??
madoutb13 08-19-2008, 06:56 PM 1441169f00 after researching i found out that its dual ball bearing also it is a spec R gt28r

Actually its not a spec r, but it is a gt28r. The spec r has a different turbine and different serial #
a S14 ball bearing turbo is not a GT28R

Its a gt2560r which is a gt28r. I think the earlier s14's didn't have them, but the serial number he listed is the bb gt28r from the s14 or auto spec s s15

there's some numbers missing, need the second row numbers as well to really tell what turbo this is. the Numbers provided only tell you it's a T28. the last 5 of the second row tells you if it's a GT series or not.
the S14 did not use the same turbo as the Spec S15 auto's.
the only reason I know this is because I sold a guy a GT28 Turbine housing and it didn't fit his because it's not a GT series ball bearing turbo.
this can be a ball bearing turbo, but not a GT series.

I hate to disagree with you bro, but if you look on the silva boards you will see that it is a gt series turbo. There are many gt28 turbo's and the late model s14 came with a gt2560r "aka" gt28r, which is a ballbearing turbo.
here is a link to the upgraded version of the turbo listed here. Its the same thing, but something is better or stronger about the turbine(I think its nickel plated), so it could hold up better to higher boost.

btw it even explains the difference between the spec s turbo( which is the model number he listed)
it's cool, he supplied the Nissan part#, not lets see the Garrett part#.
