Planning begins. Rally VIII was held at Throttle Position Motorsports in Denton. The next rally should be held in Austin or Houston. Sometime in October or November after temperatures drop a little.

Make your wishes known.

We have good friends (if not family) in both places.... doesn't matter to us!

October would be cooler for Houston though......

I'm get a few people together on the 7th of spet. If you guys want to make it a full rally... I can talk to the Nissan dealership in Round Rock. I work at NTB and we do alot of business w/ them. I'm sure they'd do a favor or two for me if I asked! :D

September is way too early for a Rally!

Yesterday I was talking about a geekout in Sept or Oct.

I vote for November in Austin or Houston.

Since I am still fairly new to this board, what all goes down at these rallies?

Is it like a Klan rally? :p

In a nutshell, all the shadetree/driveway mechanics get together to swap ideas and help other "new" people out. You'll meet guys and gals who are very knowledgeable about the SR20DE engine. You'll definately learn what to do and not to do to your car.;)

Oh, and as for it being like a klan rally, that's a definate no. The only thing we'll be burning will be a little rubber every now and then and maybe some food depending on when and where it'll be.....:D

Geo DID send a message to the Texas list wondering about the next Rally, so I did this. I'm up for any Geek-out, any time. Gotta start gutting the car.

I'm down..if you see my motor swapping pics in a previous thread you'll see that I am definitely a shadetree mechanic (literally).

My car should be fully functional within a month.

November for me. Of course, Houston would be great. I could actually make this one and stay a while. :D

If it's in Austin, I can't make it the third weekend due to work.

A geekout is needed. I have a couple of things to do that I need help with.

Same here. I was hoping to have someone show me how to:
1. Install a '91-'93 intake cam
2. Clean the EGR/BPT valve
3. Check for and fix a vacuum leak.(My G20 seems to be extremely sluggish as of late. :( )
I know that there are links and websites that will show me how to do it myself, but I'd mucj rather have an experienced person show me how so I don't make any costly mistakes.;)

We'll be having a geekout in the next month or so. Right now I'm recovering from minor surgery and suffering from a damned cold so I'm not thinking about any details, but I know we are due and there are folks who are itching to have one. As I get better, I'll work out some details.
