I'm looking around to buy a new clutch and break it in before I turbo my NX, Obviously everyone loves act, but there 400$+, what about the JGY-STREET-se-r Sprung 6 puck disk? 270 and a light weight flywheel for 270

So you can get the kit and a light weight flywheel for around the same price as an act clutch and pressure plate

My friend has the JGY clutch (rated for 290) in his NA SER and it is a b!tch to modulate, but it grabs like a mother.

I have been running Clutchnet in my Turbo SER, and I know quite a few other turbo guys have or are running their clutches.

I know other forum members are using JGY clutch setups and are happy with them. You really want to stay away from 4-puck/6-puck clutches for street use. They grab and hold together well for racing applications, but they grab too quickly and they don't have any modulation abilities for street applications. I am going to go with a Clutchmasters segmented kevlar clutch. The engineering and technology that goes in to their clutch setups is quite impressive, not to mention that they have street clutches with high clamp load and smooth engagement without chatter.

LOL, so true. My ACT 6-puck w/ Extreme pressure plate grabs like a MOTHERFU**ER! ...Not to mention people look at you like you've never driven stick before when you start going from a stand-still at a red light or something ...unless of course they see the front of the car... carbon fiber, mean front-mount :eek2:
