I am thinking of purchasing this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300248686155&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=020 and want to know if it is worth it? I am currently running a gt28r turbo on my gtir motor and will be upgrading next year to a gt2871r, so i want something with better flow then a stock gtir manifold, but I don't want to break the bank on a custom one and I think I am going to stay with a internally wastegated turbo, but can also easily add a wastgate flange to this manifold if i do decide to go external.

The quality looks better then the ssautochrome one and I think I'll get a bracket welded on to make sure its properly supported.

I am figuring for 240.00 I can probably get a nice mid-top end gain out of it, especially if i add cams(s3m's), which i am also going to be doing.

So what do you guys think?

if im not mistaken, the 71r will fit the gtir mani with a lil clearance.. i used a ss auto mani once and it cracked on me. i welded it back, and it was good to go. Over all the gtir man with a lil tool work flows well, differnt manifolds work best for different apps however.

A few people have rocked it... the first versions by 2fast2cool, people on the gtiroc had problems with. They made another run and people have more success w/ fitment and less cracking... I understand this seems like a different guy selling it but they are all the same. They are cheap. There is a guy who put one on on the gtiroc forum I mentioned and lost 2whp. IMO I think the manifold is mainly for looks. People have gotten 400whp on the GTI-R manifold before. If you want it to flow better though, your best bet would be to spend that money on sending it and the o2 housing out to get them extrude honed rather than get this. But The manifold looks really nice. If you have time search on the gtir forum a bit. There's not much information there but I found some. They stopped selling them from the UK over here on ebay for cheap and upped the price to 300 plus, so if you are getting it for cheaper I don't see why not. If you do end up buying it def let us know your experience!

Peace!

The GTi-R manifold flows pretty damn well for a cast manifold; better than your standard log manifold. For a daily driven car, I'd stick with the cast manifold (extrude hone it) or go Full-Race.

Full Race no longer makes the manifold for the FWD cars.
