silversx 08-14-2002, 11:59 PM I think he's sorry for the fact that he always has something derogatory to say about someone elses ride or their modifications done to it, and how they don't meet his standards for looks or performance. I, on the other hand, think you have a very tasteful wheel and brake combo, however. Looks good!
spdracerUT 08-15-2002, 12:00 AM John Paul! Whatup bro, dunno if you remember me from the Convention (assuming you are the same John Paul who got hammered at happy hour). You got those wheels at the convention right? Hey, looks good!
Khiem
trance34 08-15-2002, 12:17 AM Whats a convention, I uh, have no idea what you are talking about! :D
Yep those are the same wheels, much better looking now!
94sentraSER 08-15-2002, 02:27 AM sweet combo john paul, looks as *** the calipers were painted from the factory, what kinda paint did you use? as for the rotors, how do you keep em from getting rusty?
blairellis 08-15-2002, 07:24 AM Hey JP! Nice work on those calipers! I like it. I just need to get around to doing mine now hehe. BTW what kind of paint is that?

Agreed! Too bad you can't ignore posts by moderators.
Even though cross drilled aren't necessarily more effective, they still do their job of helping to stop your car, and your combo does look good. :D
Im just sorry you paid money for rotors that you will end up replacing over and over again. never said one thing bad about its look or anything like that. but on your post there tommy, show me emperical evidence that they do their job helping stop your car? ok they work....but how do they help????
I havent made a comment on the rice level on the board in a long while. actualy .... oh i wont go into what i was going to say
Edit here:
Do like those rims ***. Really good looking. The silver paint isnt bad dont know the color of your car ***. Been meaning to paint my calipers sometime. As i had to grind them so they are rusted a bit. Think black is more my tastes ***, but the silver isnt bad. Atleast its not red or yellow=fast.

Actually I didn't pay anything for them! They were won in a raffle!
As far as what the rest of the car looks like!

This looks even better in person I think :D
QUiKSR20 08-15-2002, 03:49 PM They look awesome man.. What paint did you use and what prepping
was involved? Let me know i would like to paint mine soon. IF done
right even red looks nice. But not with wimpy brakes. I want to
do mine silver too just to make it looke like stock new calipers.
My car is as plain as it gets.. Nice JDM and Plain..
Storm88000 08-15-2002, 04:05 PM Hey Bowlcut..... I had Brembo X-Drilled rotors on my 98 SE for over a year and I never had a single problem with cracking. Maybe it's hit and miss.
Driven97 08-15-2002, 04:45 PM I clicked on this post ready to scream "rice alert!" but that's very tasteful and nice. Good job.
Just don't go to a track day on those things or I'd bet they break into pieces.
trance34 08-15-2002, 05:18 PM For paint I used Dupli-color High Heat ceranic rated at 1200*
For prep, I took them completely off the car, then blasted them with brake cleaner, then let dry. Them hit them with a big steel brush, it works better then anything! After that again with the brake cleaner, and that was it, of course I scrubbed really well with the brush!
For more pics look here!
Rice, bah!
