who all has forged pistons and rods? please include what turbo setup and psi you run. has anybody heard of Race Engineering, they have custom SR20 pistons built by either JE or WEISCO for pretty cheap, just a thought

My soon to be 3037+18-20psi= 375+whp

3037+forged piston,rods+20+psi=WHOA!!!:D

They should be the Wiseco Pistons. I believe they take you to 9.0:1 compression and they have 86mm and 87mm setups. I have some here at home if you want to see pics of them, I can send you some.

i assume raising the compression ratio from 8.5 to 9.0 is fine for high boost since they're forged, right? also, would this aid in turbo spool up a little?

That's what I was told... I hope 9.0:1 works out..

The rod ends of the gti-r have to be machined down to fit the piston. This is depending on who you purchase them from i believe. But most are made to fit stock rod dimensions. Just get it clarified before you purchase from vendor.

thank you soo much....its like every one hates that question....i really search but i could find the answer, thanks again
i have aftermarket rods for the gti-r so i guess ill need to do a custom set of pistons....

You dont need a custom set of pistons. You could use the rod from the gti-r just have a machinist shave them down to fit . It wont hurt the rod. The machining done to the rod is minimal.
Best thing to do is measure the rod , get specs on the pistons where rod connects snd see how much u need to shave.
