This is for sale on ImportAtlanta.com. This guy says he is making 210 whp out of a 2.4 stroked SR20DE. Says he can make upward of 260 whp. Am I the only person thinking if he is making what he says this shit is going to blow?lol

Sounds like BS. I don't think Crower makes a 2.4 stroker kit - 2.3 yeah, but not 2.4 (according to their site) and that guy repeatedly says 2.4

Also - I think he means 260hp with a turbo. Which should be easy; with a "2.4 stroker" I'd wonder why the power was that low, not that it was too high, with a turbo.

Didnt a guy on here have a 200hp N-A DE? and Didnt it blow pretty fast?lol

Works this morning:
"The pictures below are of the SR20 engine that was used a few years back in one of the European touring car championships. I received these pictures from a friend in Japan who works for Nissan in the Motorsports Development Section. These photos were released by Nissan for distribution.

This SR20 is normally aspirated and puts out around 300 hp. It is a full race engine, and although basically similar to our SR20DE's, there are significant differences. While many of use dream of turbo charging our normally aspirated engines, with this engine Nissan did the reverse. That is, this engine is essentially the turbo SR20DET from the GTi-R transformed into a normally aspirated engine."

I'm sure that's crank HP. Not surprising for a factory backed big $ full race build. GTI-R block, dry sump, probably high compression - very nice.

Jun made an SR20 stroker kit back in the day... Not sure on what displacement it made.....

BTW that 300hp touring car motor was backed by the manufacturer and part of its design accommodated for frequent rebuilds. 2 major compromises a street driven car cannot afford.
