Alright, I have a serious question here. I'm not too experienced with exhaust systems and all but I want to replace my exhaust system and go custom. I know to go 2.25 for the piping, but the local shops dont offer mandrel bending. So I'll have to order them via NOPI probably. I have a 97' 200sx SE-R. Which angle bends do i need to order...how many....which type ect. And also which type of canister muffler provides the best tone and sound. I'm replacing my header and going hotshot for that mod. If I'm replacing header should i just replace all piping and everything from the header straight to the muffler or just the header and get a custom cat? Also is a resognator needed when i go custom and if so what kind? Thanx for the help.

well, you could also purchase a mandrel bent ss catback exhaust from courtesy nissan. as far as mufflers, that all depends on how much you want to spend and what look you're going for. have read the newest issue of nissan performance magazine? they have an article on this exact topic. check out nissanperformancemag.com.

your cat isn't really a source of power loss, but if you have the money get a random technologies cat. they have the diameter outlets you need. the dynomax thrush glasspack muffler has been used with some good success, i recommend one of those.

Although im not exactly sure, i think you need 2 90* and 2 45*. that should get you pretty close in my mind by looking at my B-pipe. do a search. i read a good site where someone made their own........explained everything in detal.
