After 8 months of waiting, my Pacesetter is finally on the way!! It should be here on tuesday, and NismoNx2000 and I will be having another mini geekout! This time, its for modding instead of fixing broken things!! I'm soooo excited!:D

True, its amazingly true. Finally after all this time Pacesetter actually has sr20de headers again. I cant wait to get it on your car, and the hotshot gen 5 on mine. Or maybe i should sell the gen 5 and just get a pacesetter instead.

Why do people buy the $500 hotshot headers, when they can get the same performance for $150?

If looks is an issue, then yes, unless they have a lot of money to burn?

I picked up the header in a group buy for a nice bit less then 500 bucks. I would never pay for one brand new from hotshot. I think its 475 on there site. And, i know the pacesetter has turned up good #'s, but it doesnt quite match the same performance as the newest gen hotshot. Check out subcultures post about his dyno with his old stillen unit compared to his new 5th gen hotshot.

yea.. people are telling me I shouldn't put a pacesetter header into a 1999 year old car  IMHO, it does the job well. The thing is, all my friends with pacesetter headers have 91-94 year old cars. Don't really catch their points.

Congrats! Power mods are happy...

Just make sure you start soaking the header bolts/nuts(primary/secondary AND primary/cylinder head) with PB or similar several days before the install - it will make things go a lot easier and lessen the chance of a broken stud, which becomes a major pain very quickly.

SCC has people brainwashed.

Yo NismoSER, congrats , man!!!!
I would advise having a drill/bits handy in case the bolt holes on the header do not line up the head. It happened to me.
But I absolutely love my Pacesetter!!!!

Well, the Pace Setter is a very good unit for the money but the HotShot doeas shine a lot brighter. I don't have a link to the #'s but the HotShot is the Better header.

Although I am very happy with my Pace Setter:)

Is this the one you ordered from JCWhitney many moons ago? Who confirmed that they are back in production? And when you get it, please let us know how the quality is since they are now being built in house and not Mexico.

Congrats! I am quite pleased with mine!

Not to piss on anyone's parade, but I know I heard it on this forum, that pacesetter makes crap. I thought their headers always end up cracking?

for the money you cant go wrong with a pacesetter, if you spend 150 bucks you probably should feel good about getting a couple of years out of it, mines about a year old and the only thing i dont like about it is the rusting, if ya want a pretty one i guess youll have to spend the extra money, im very satisfied with my pacesetter

I ordered them from Nopi thru a gentleman named German. Yes, that's his real name.

JC Whitney refused to do business with Pacesetter anymore because of their lousy shipping record.

A call to Pacesetter themselves verified that they had 45 in stock on the 13th, 41 as of today. However, Pacesetter direct charges 230 plus shipping, whereas nopi charges 140 plus 11 shipping.

My header should be arriving here from Arizona on Tuesday. Yippie!!

I don't beleive that. JC whitney sucks I order a set of lights from them and two weeks went by before I had to call them to find out they were back ordered. the woman told me they had them in stock an they would be shipped that day. They even gave my name to some phone sails place that calls me al the time no matter how much I curse at them. I think JC whitney sucks A** not Pacesetter.

The Pacesetter SR20DE header (same as all SR20 headers including HS, AEBS, Stillen, OBX, HPRacing, etc.) will fit all NX2000's, SE-R Classics, 200 SX SE-R's, Sentra SE's and Infiniti G20's.

Only one's I am not sure about is the last few years SR20DE's with roller rockers.

Oh, and you have it backwards. The '91-'93 SR20DE's 'have' an AIV tube that goes into the header near the O2 sensor. The '94 and newer do not. So when ordering for a '94 and newer SR20DE, always ask for the '94 header. It should automatically ship with a AIV plug to plug up the AIV bung for '94 and newer SR20's that do not have it.

So a 94 header will bolt right up to my 97 and have the same o2 sensor and egr location and everything right?

Forum rule # 103:
Dont go by what you hear.
SEE and FEEL for yourself.
Then decide.

But its true the quality is crap.
But that crap works. :D
