I'm a long time reader of this forum, but i havnt had anything but my daily driver to work with before. I just bought a '95 200sx SE and im interested in putting a VE in it. I know that ill need a Tranny/RPM Switches/JWT ECU, im shooting for the 01 Tranny because im already used to the gearing. My question to all of you is what else am i going to need to pull this off, since im going from the 1.6DE to a 2.0VE.

I love the support u guys offer each other on this forum.

I know you can add header and axles to the list. I don't know which ones. Unless it is a pure drag car I would upgrade the brakes as well. I would do a search and see what you found for GA16+swap and look for the swap info. Adding the VE is not going to be any harder with the exception of the RPM switchs and that not a big deal.

you'll also need a 2.0 wiring harness and i am not sure about the b-14's but on the b-13's when going to 1.6 to 2.0 you have to change to dog-bone front motor mount. you can just use the oem 2.0 axles. and probably a couple of other little thing i can't remember.

so i guess for the "little things":D its just go about the install, and as things are needed buy them. So does anyone know of a place i can find the differences between the 1.6L b14 and the 2.0L b14. That way i can figure out what i need to get before hand, so my swap doesnt take me a week or two? I assumed someone had done swap in a b14 that was non SR20 before.

I havnt ordered the engine yet, but i do have enough money to buy some of the parts. Can anyone help me out thats done a 1.6 to 2.0 swap before... im going to try to make a list so i can order this stuff direct from the dealer wholesale.

Have you done a search yet. If not then do that first. If you still have questions post in the general section to get more traffic in your post. The VE swap info I/we can help with but the 1.6-2.0 is not up my alley and is not really specific to the VE section. It shouldn't be any harder to swap a VE into your car then a DE except for the RPM triggers.

i did a search and havnt found anything concrete. I'll try and spread my questions across the general section and here as i go along. Thanxs for the help so far, ill get back to you guys as soon as i get a list of things i need to put in my car. Searching the sight didnt give me much info on a swap from 1.6 to 2.0, but i did find a bit on SE-R.com, so ill let you know how it goes. As far as i can assume once the car is DE ready it should be just like pulling a SR20DE and putting in a VE. Until then thanx for your help.

I am not trying to put you off just trying to send you in the right places to get the info you are looking for. I would post the list of stuff you "think" you need for the swap in the general forum and that way you show you have done your homework. I bet you will get a good response to a post that shows that you have done some research already. Good luck.

I don't think an '01 tranny will fit in your car, stick with a 95-97 SE-R/G20 tranny, you know it will fit... Good luck and do ALOT of research...
