Ok... I am looking for a muffler for my turbo setup.. T25 with 2.5" downpipe and probably 2.5 " back.... looking at Apexi thats at least $200 ... would anyone recommend any other muffler that is not that pricey and oh yeah... i dont want it to be loud! :)

Good luck, if you want it to be quiet i would start looking into resonators, and or high flow cats. But that depends what your opinion on loud and quiet is.;)

No resonators, straight 3" all the way back on mine, Vibrant muffler!! Looks stock but is performance based!

Yup cant beat vibrant, use a resonator for the quietness. Also the turbo should muffle some of the sound.

I think if i build another turbo nissan either a b13 or b14 i will try that side exit exhaust that someone on here posted up thats a pretty nice set up for cheap and also pretty quiet.

This may be a dumb question but some mufflers are labeled as "Turbo" Mufflers... is there any difference? For example this vibrant muffler does not say anything about turbo applications...

for turbo you need bigger exhaust that's all

turbo mufflers are restrictive your going to want something straight thru...

I just got a borla xr1 40944.. it sounds great with a resonator it would be really nice. with a gutted cat my only complaint is its just slightly louder than I prefer on decelleration, but its totally liveable

Before i go and order a muffler i would like to know one thing.. If i run 2.5" all the way back would it be better to go with a 2.5" muffler or 3" ? Also dont know if i want the TPV Vibrant or the black stealth...

i would do 3'' exhaust all the way back
but if you go with 2.5'' i dont think going with a 3'' muffler would make a difference

I have a 2.5" downpipe to a 3" exhaust with a Magnaflow resonator and a JUN titanium muffler and its way loud! Yes you can hear the turbo. Allot of people dont like the JUN because they think its just a big ass tip, but its actually a huge straight thru muffler.

Have you thought about a tanabe muffler? I know they make a line of mufflers that are supposed to be under 93 dB, not sure about how well they flow though. They also make them in a nice black finish. not sure on price either.
