Hey what's up guys, My name's Anthony and I'm from AB, Canada. This Sentra is my second SR powered car and I thought I'd finally convert my engine to what it was originally meant to be. So feel free to share your wisdom and input on any of the parts listed to aid in my road to boost.
Here's what I have to work with, a 2001 Nissan Sentra SE w/ PP that is currently rocking a RR SR20DE with a 130,000 kms of road time on it.
That usually doesn't seem to bad for an eight year old car, but considering on how much more stress a turbo system puts on the motor I thought it be a good decision to buy a used jdm engine.

note* black bold words are parts already
obtained and red bold words parts
needing to buy, blue words are for the rr sr20de+t
that I am no longer continuing to builld on

The first thing I immediately thought about was the turbo itself, so I looked around for a bit and stumbled upon a new HKS GT2835 56 Trim turbocharger for only a $1000.00, don't you love EBay :D , turbine A/R .64 internally waste gated. I also ordered a 4 bolt .61 A/R turbine housing to be used with a 38mm Tial waste gate with a mild 8.7 psi set spring for easy street drivability. As for a turbo manifold I went with Protech's top mount shorty manifold and matching 3.00" downpipe.
Some parts I would also need to complete the set up are:
turbo gaskets (inlet, outlet, oil drain flange)
AN to NPT fittings for oil lines
the HKS oil feed kit comes with a built in restrictor in the fitting that is needed for the GT series turbos
steel braided oil lines:
-3 oil feed, -10 oil drain
oil drain flange
banjo fittings for water lines
Nissport oil sender adaptor for oil feed
water hose, vacuum/boost hose, clamps, tie downs
hardware

As for fuel management I went with some MSD 72# low impedance injectors & injector connectors, which I think will be needing Resistors (JWT 6.8 Ohm, 10 Watt) because I will be using a JWT programmed B14 ecu to control my set up, a nismo fpr, walbro 255 lph fuel pump and jgy top feed fuel rail.

Keeping the boosted air cool is a Precision 350HP intercooler, some 2.5" aluminized steel bends and a 3.00" intake pipe to plumb it all up. Since no company made a complete intercooler kit for a B15 SR20DE with a Protech set up gave me no choice but to make my own. A Nissan OEM blow off valve(recirculated) will help to keep compressor surge away while a z32 MAF (draw through) keeps the AFR's in check.
Some parts I would also need to complete the set up are:
silicone couplers, clamps
bov flange & gasket
air filter, adaptor

Just in case,
OEM Head Studs
Cometic Head Gasket

To cap things off I plan to get an F1 Racing Stage 3 clutch & flywheel so I don't burn my OEM on the first ride around the block, a 3.00" VRS exhaust and high flow cat, some performance ES motor mount inserts, a boost gauge, a manual boost controller, an outlaw engineering thermoblock spacer for the itm conversion, some FAL slim fans and a Koyo radiator to keep engine temps down.

Some extra things I think that will need attention are: (I think I'll try answer these as I learn along the way)

The intake manifold and tb which will need to switched over to a B14
-Is this a basic swap where old sensors are used? (throttle body hits the valve cover, solution, use an outlaw engineering thermo block spacer or use a regular de valve cover)

B14 3 IACV sensors need to be spliced into B15 harness (look into fsm),
B15 TPS doesn't fit on B14 TB (Either trim B15 TPS to fit or buy proper B14 TPS)

-Where can I get an adaptor for the B15 to B14 ecu conversion? (member was making and selling these, don't know if still in the business of, if not there's always jwt or jgy diy instead.

Big mistake on sending the ECU to JWT! If you would have sent it to Calum basic program is $105, and Real Time is $370!

JWT charges you $100 per reprogram. Calum only $5 for some new burned chips. Real Time, free because you can upload bins via usb.

I wouldnt call it a mistake, just a more expensive method. Still a good product nonetheless.

you'll want a SAFC to monitor and adjust you fuel. ive heard that jwt's ecu tend to make the mixture to rich

Well, besides the engine managment you will be using.... JWT, Calum, AEM or whatever you use... I like calum realtime myself but, do whatever you feel. I didn't notice that you had solid motor mounts, you WILL need to upgrade the stocks. I know this because, I work on one of those GTir swaped b15 you were talking about. Also is your trans an LSD, if not you will be having some traction issues. Now, will you be using the stock harness in the car with all the sensor hookup. Some modification may be needed if you start getting codes. I don't know about emission control up there but, that may turn out to be important.

not true.

Usually another problem...(air leak, etc) Mine was actually a little lean. Not much, but definitely not rich. Most people dont bother to pressure test their systems. A small leak can create a rich condition so its easier to blame the ecu than find the leak LOL. There has been alot of big power cars that use JWT ECU's.

The Calum is nice and saves you money, so theres nothing wrong with using that either...

Personally, Im not a fan of the SAFC.

I never really thought about the motor mounts till now but I'll be sure to check it out. I believe it comes with an LSD from the factory because it's said to have the performance package and yeah I think I'll be using the stock engine harness. I've found a couple of sites that have conversion instructions for what I'm trying to do with the B14 ECU. Other than that if any codes come up I'd attempt to fix them one by one. I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about this other than making one from scratch.

I'm planning to swap the gtir into my qg b15. Ive got the whole front clip and the sr20 2.0 b15 manual tranny just sitting and waiting for January when the build will begin. I'll be anxious to see what solutions you come up with. and erick212, people like you that know about these b15 projects are hard to come by...at least in my experience so I'm sure you will hear from us:biggthump . Anyhow Good Luck Tony!

Looks I've finally folded, I'm ditching my rr in favor of a jdm sr20det. Reason being I ordered a JWT ecu programmed for 8.5:1 instead of 9.5:1. At first I thought I could just switch out the pistons and lower the compression ratio but it seems that's not the case. Difference is in the head and it didn't make sense to me to try to find an sr20det head so I guess I have to eat my own words about this build being a little different than everyone else's.

And hey ZHSSKZ good luck to you too! It's been a long wait but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end, maybe I should've just listened to my dad and bought a factory turbocharged car, lol.

Oh yeah and big thumbs up to toronto jdm for a clean engine:biggthump

Sorry man, nothing specific comes to mind the only thing I can think of is the local salvage yards as far as used parts.
