Good luck on your project! Should you make good numbers!

I have a few questions:

How will you much your VE crank pulley on the DE crank?

You said you'll be using a new gasket set which uses no head gasket?????

Means you'll run f**king high comp????

Thnx.

just going to install it I guess. I'm just doing the headgasket since I had the head rebuilt not too long ago.

yes, i am using gspec head gasket, here in Peru we have 98 octane gasoline so i am going with hi comp, if it doesnt work i will try a thicker gasket, here there are shops that can make custom gaskets that work so well, that people use them for turbo setups (they can copy the original and make it thicker not thinner, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 mm ) so let`s see what happen

Very Interesting Project!

1. Apart from the Apexi Neo, will you use anything else for tuning/management?

2. With the sr16 pistons, wont the compression too high?

3. Running this on what octane

3. Since you had/have both stock ve header and Fugi Header, have you noticed any physical difference? Have you noticed and gains after installation of Fugi (did you dyno before and after?) Can you take some pics side by side with each showing ports etc.

Thanks

i will use 98 octane gasoline if it doesnīt work i will make the gasket thicker, (custom made gasket)

SR16VE ECU + Apexi Neo

the Fuji was better because of the downpipe, the stock VE have big ports but the tubes inside are thinner and rough compared with the fuji (i try with a rubber ball size of a big marble inside, it go throw the fuji but get stuck in the stock one)

i Ran the sr16 for a while with the stock header + a custom down pipe and work pretty well, but for the setup that my sr16ve had fuji work better making the ports bigger (primaries and secondaries)

rather than that i don`t think a better header will give me more than 5 extra hp, i think you must have a good downpipe (2" each secondary to 2.5" colector) and a good exhaust system (3" and maybe free, with no resonator or mufflers when drag race) and you can make a shitty header work fine if its ported

Plus the Fuji looks nicer hahaha

Awwwww. that suks. I've seen other people do that with 1.6-2.0 VEs. You aren't alone. Looks like you figured it out on the bench though. The last one I saw the guy had the engine installed/started and ruined.

hehehe i learned yes i did, i am glad the dealer had those squirters on stock, hahaha other thing you must modify is the metal thing between the oil pan and the crank, like the oil wave cutter (don`t know the name exactly) the crank was hitting it...

today i put the engine back in the engine bay :)
