Ok I went to the dyno. If you notice in my other thread about the JWT ECU I had one problem. With that in mind I don't think things went to badly. I put down 171 WHP at about 7200 rpm and 135.1 tq @ 5500rpm or so. The 2.5-inch exhaust gained me 12 whp over my tiny stock b14 exhaust and it helped me breath well past 6800 rpm so it gave me an extra 500-rpm of top end. It was really hot in the room but I hear the dyno compensates for that. They have some dyno charts on their site to show about their dyno. An Integra Type R dyno'd 170.9. I hope to break 180 whp when I get the TPS stuff fixed. Basically my TPS never told my ECU I was at full throttle. I tried different plug gaps, timing and TPS setting. I never dyno'd under 168 in the 20 or so pulls with the full cams engaged. I also experimented with cam switching points but with only minor success. I will get an e-mail with the dyno's printout but at this point all I have is hard copies. I will need to post those latter with some help from someone out on the forum.

Here (http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23912) is a link to that thread.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I got the TPS thing figured out with the help of the forum of course. I needed to disconnect a couple sensors. There was one in the engine compartment on the firewall by the TB labeled boost sensor and a three wire sensor in the fender area by the gas tank filler. This is only for those converting a 98 ECU to a 95-97 ECU. I was able to set the voltage to .5 at idle and 4.03 at WOT. My VE finally know I want full throttle. I will dyno again asap with my new exhaust and everything.

Steve, how do you know the 2.5 inch exhaust gained 12 whp over the stock piping? Did you dyno the stock exhaust for a base line before putting on the 2.5 inch unit?

I took the 2.5 inch off and put the stock one back on then did two more pulls. This 2.5 inch is missing the resonator at this point. I mentioned how loud it was in some previous post and it still is not fixed so I switched it out at the shop to do the dyno runs. I will be dynoing again this coming weekend with the full 2.5 inch and the TPS thing fixed. I also don't think the 2.5 was optimized when it was on the dyno. It was hard to line up the cat and the flanges just right. In the future I will take the time to do this perfectly. The car feels stronger then before the TPS was fixed. But butt dynos are so subjective and I have driven it with the 2.5 and with out and in a couple states of tune (timing, no cams, sparkplugs/wires) so I have been all over the place with the tuning of this car.

Man, that's a trick I liked to see pulled off, what is it a 2-stroke VE? :D
Seriously, congrates and keep us posted.

In this thread Jim mentions he is running a Greddy exhaust: http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15730

IIRC, the Greddy for the B13 has a diameter of 50mm or slightly less than 2 inches, whereas the B14 Greddy is 60mm or right around 2 3/8 inches. For the record I've run both a Greddy and HKS exhaust (60mm) on my slightly built SR20DE B13 and found no hp difference. If anything the Greddy was good for 1 or 2 more lb-ft of torque.

Steve,
Was this with the stock VE cams or the 16ve cams? Those are some great numbers for an NA car, Hell even great numbers for smaller turbo cars. Sweet!!!

That was with the sr20ve cams and a TPS sensor only reading 3.25. That is fixed and it feels stronger now. I have a set of sr16 cams on the way and a nismo fuel preasure regulator also. Hoping for much more very soon. Jim made 181 whp with the sr20 cams, and I would expect the same as him give or take a little.

Steve,

Are you willing to share your source and cost for the cams?

I bought these cams with my engine from the start. They have just not been installed.

Steve,

Did you get a chance to dyno the car again this weekend? How much longer do you plan on running with your current configuration before you try out the SR16VE cams?

Thanks,

Steve

I still have some exhaust work to get done. After that another dynorun to be sure I am at 175 or more THEN the sr16 cams. I might get to dyno at the end of this week. I will let everyone know.
