Well, I went to the track today and ran the shit outta my car! I used a .055" jet on my system (should be around 125HP-shot?). I also ran what I call "car gatorade" - it's 2.5 gallons of pump 93, 2.5 gallons of 110 Leaded race gas, and a bottle of alcohol. The car ran wonderful but I spun like a mad dog! Furthermore, I used my Nitto 555Rs at 20psi.

I ran:
8.990
8.908
9.023
8.958
8.996
9.045
9.178

and these are as the bottle ran out:

9.395
9.395
9.756

I believe there was one other so that's basically 8 good runs on a 10# bottle. Shouldn't I get more than that?

Anyway, my other grief is I couldn't break 2.2 outta the hole!

I'm going to try some more this weekend... maybe even get a bigger jet and mix an even stranger concoction....

man slicks would help you out tremendously, hey and i hear M/T makes the 22x8x14(perfect nitrous slick) again, for around 148.00 a tire, that is hard to beat and your e/t would be like night and day.

so they'd do better than the drag radials? if so, I'm all over 'em!

like a 1.7-1.8 60ft time, and you can launch it @ 5k easy.

The 8.9 times should be good for about a 13.8 - 13.9 1/4 mile.

my traps are shitty! I couldn't get under 2.2 !!

does your n2o activate @ wide open throttle? if so that explains it, you leave the line, drop the clutch, punch it and light em up off the line and without slicks thats not good.

oh, yeah, DUH!!! My best trap was 85.6 MPH... I was thinking of hole shots...

I tried switching the nitrous on after the launch and tried having it on at the launch... it didn't make much difference...

Hey you should get 20-6-14 slicks. They are the shortest made so the whole gear ratio thing will work for you. They are available in 8s too.

are those MT's? Would there be an advantage to 8s?

Hey, I read somewhere that you need a tube for MTs... is that true?

Is there a better wheel choice than stock wheels?

yes they are supposed to use tubes, i have also seen and alot of people recommend using rim screws to keep the slick from spinning around while on the rim(usually in high power applications)and if you want super light wheels like all the 8 sec drag imports use try bogart wheels. they are top of the line for drag racing..enjoy..hope this helps..
PS you can get the tubes /screws at summit racing, they have all of that stuff and more..later..

If your having a problem launching with 125hp, which shouldn't be a surpise even with drag radials, I highly suggest a progressive control unit, first and then M&H 23x7.5x15 slicks afterwords.

With a "softer" launch, I know you can get 2.0 and 1.9 60ft times from BFG drag radials with a small dry burnout. I would get a the NX Controller, knock down nitrous at launch to about 25% of 100%(125hp), that should make launching with nitrous more managable, alot more... Then you can have the system bring the system in slowly, maybe about 4-5 second "ramp" time.

With the controller the car will run harder on the top end, where nitrous cars usually fall off unless it's a 2 stage system and that's the magic of this controller, it works just like a 2 stage system without the extra solnoids! It's also output is adjustable without touching your jetting, unless you need a change for track conditions.

I would seriously look into it.

This is good info... I appreciate it immensely
