i know that everyone says that you have to use a mass air from a 93 cobra...but why does it have to be a 93? my friend who owns a 92 says he has used a mass air from a 93 and a 95 and there is no difference. so why does it HAVE to be from a 93 is my question.

If you order the MAF sensor for a '93 Cobra, you're gauranteed the right part. It's just convenient. Any other year that uses the same part number will also do, but '93 is known good.

alright thanks..that makes sense. another question, do you need just the mass air housing and use the stock meter, or do you need to housing and meter? i forgot to ask that. i am not planning on using one, just my friend has one from a 95 cobra that i might sell for him. thanks again

You need the whole assembly; housing, filament, and a pigtail for the SE-R's wiring harness. And you need your ECU reprogrammed by JWT or some sort of a black box to compensate for the extra flow.
