I have a 91 NX and about a month ago my tire blew on me due to bad negative camber. I thought it was the blown struts, so I replaced them with MacPhearson struts and it still seems to be running negative camber. I am affraid to lower my car because it will make the camber even worse. Does anybody know why I might be running negative? That and there is a squeking sound in the front right, does that have anything to do with it?

How do you know it blew because of negative camber?
Tim
how much is your car lowered?
stillen and cusco make camber plates for the nx.

there was bad wear in the inside edge, and I can see the angle of the camber just by looking at it. I don't have my car lowered at all.

Camber doesn't kill your tires... Toe does. And since you say the inside edges are wearing badly, then you have too much toe-out.

Just get an alignment man. I have the ST springs and run the car on 18s alot and they wear perfectly normal, due to the alignment. The struts are slotted now instead of getting a camber kit.

Like AaronX said the first thing u got to do is alignment, then if something is wrong they´ll tell u.

... and if your camber's really whack, the alignment shop will probably have some camber plates around to clear that up for you.

It wil probably stop after the alignment.

but if you want to just try and correct it yourself Eibach makes an inexpensive "kit", theyre special bolts to replace the bottom bolts on your struts. theyre easy to adjust, and you can play around with the camber until you get it the way you want it.
do a search on it at yahoo or whatever, i think i got mine for about 30 shipped.
-oh and isnt "toe out" the same thing as negative camber? dont the both terms refer to your rear looking like this: / \

You could have worn lower control arm bushings.

I don't think the camber will matter anymore, thinking of the fact that some ***** hit me HARD from the back and cause tons of damage today. But if I get it fixed then maybe I can worry about tire wear.
