Well first of all i have to say that I finished my turbo install and the car is very impressive.I put on a t25 with a starion fmic JWT ECU a set of j spec cams out of a de.new 370 cc injectors and a jgy down pipe and 3" cat back. Now for the problem. The car has a very obviose intermitent power/idle problem. One second it is at -18 for vacume presure and the next sec its at -10 and runs like shit`.Ihave to feather it into boost when it does this but when it hits 3 psi or so then the miss goes away and it pulls like hell.Thier is no pattern to this it could do it 3 sec after start up or 3 min.sometimes it runs great other times i cant limp it across the intersection.any clue here for me?

Might be some sort of vacuum leak. What type of BOV are you running, and is it recirculated or blowing off into atmosphere?

It is a stk bov off of a bb motor. It is dumping into the intake pipe.Like i said it runs good sometimes then nothing so im thinking it is a problem with the egr shit or something.Just wondering if anyone else had these problems.

Check the connections on the MAF, and try regrounding it. But if the vac. is rising and falling it sounds like leaks. YOur best bet would be to go back and re-do all the vac line connections and the "zip tie them". Did you get a new intake plenum gasket when you removed the upper half of the intake to install the injectors?

Make sure that you blocked the egr valve..

Cam timing off a tooth.

I dont think it is the cam timing because it runs great then falls off it is very intermitent.I was told i dont have to block off the egr.I was thinking that this will cause a leak myself if it is opening and closing and that is exactlt what it feels like. so do i9 or dont I need to block this off.And by saying block it off, do you mean i have to remove it and make a block off plate?

Yes, make the block off plate. Remove the EGR and seal off the hole in the intake manifold and the vacuum gallery.

Technically, you don't have to block off the EGR. I didn't. All you have to do is disable it. On a low port, this is slightly more difficult. Look under your intake manifold. There will be two gold cylinders there. The one on the drivers side is your BPT and the one on your left is your EGR. There is a hose connecting the two flat gold cylinders. The BPT controls the EGR through this hose. Take that hose off, and cap off the two ends of the cylinders. That will disable your EGR. You can leave your EGR tube going from your intake manifold to your exhaust manifold hangining and it should not give you problems. The opening at the intake manifold shoudl remain closed if you disabled the EGR properly.

But it looks soooo much cleaner without the sh*t hanging;)
