hey guys. i have this stillen 4-1 header that i bought used a while back. i was wondering if i should trash it and just buy a pacesetter. the stillen 4-1 did nothing for me.

i'm not trying to sound like a dick but, why would you want this header?? you will not get performance out of it. the only benifit i see in it is for asthetic reasons. it looks good, but a good looking header can only get you so far.

i want to take a stillen header challenge. i will bet that the stillen 4-1 does not make power....well, maybe 1 hp. back to the dyno i go.

i wish stillen would take this product off the shelf.

I got a good power gain from ~3600 rpm on up. That's just butt dyno though. I will be curious to know the results on this.

we should compare a stillen 4-1 vs a pacesetter. that would be interesting.

my vote goes to the pacesetter for power.

Look at SmoothDaddyFig, JDM engine, pacesetter headers, sewage pipe intake (ghetto :D), and exhaust, he put down 149.

Smooth did put down some very nice #'s, but isnt he running a 10:1 jdm motor??? Just curious. Either way, the pacesetter does make some very respectable power. I would actually give the nod to the pacesetter for power over the stillen. I know on ser-.net you can see a header comparo. Supposedly they got 8-10 hp out of the stillen unit and 5-7 out of the pacesetter unit. So, who knows. Also, playtax99 ran a 14.7xx with just intake, exaust and pacesetter. Well, someone dyno these suckers back to back so we can find out.

FWIW, when my car had the pacesetter on it, it felt SOOO much stronger than this sucky old 4-2-1 stillen. i honestly felt NO gain with this unit over the stock manifold. I can't complain, though, since it was free. I think that I am gonna just go ahead and buy another PS, since they're back in stock. I reccomend that you do the same.

i agree with some of you that stillen header is not just for looks. i never tried any header and this is my second stillen header. so, i would say that yes, i felt a some gains out of it. i have the primary from their first gen header if anybody wants it. the other half broke.

I like my Stillen header and I think it's damn ugly. It's not bling bling at all. But if you don't like it sell it. I would buy it if I didn't already have one.

I thought that Sport Compact did a comparison test of 4-5 headers and the Stillen was essentialy the 2nd best header behind the 4th gen Hot Shot. But maybe i'm wrong. It gave my car great gains through out the rev band I was very happy w/ it. My header is also their 2nd gen I believe don't know if all that are unhappy have this one or not.

i will go back to the dyno. 20 bucks says that the stillen 4-1 doesn't make power on my sentra se-l. oh well, every sr20 is different.

i got a stock 92 se-r it wants headers. if your willing to give them away.. im willing to take them.. or trade you for something you might need that i might have.. lol

but uh.. i should be doing a dyno this september or october
