This forum has ran slower and slower every since the "take over" it's all the popups and ads, no matter the connection it will continue to drag and drag and drag. Like T-Pain said this forum has officially been CHOPPED AND SCREWED!!!!

I use Firefox with Ad Blocker Plus, and I don't notice any speed difference between this forum and any other, with or without ads.

It's not so much the traffic that causes slowness.... You get slowness when loading pages because of all the garbage ad servers that are being contacted to populate content on the page. Many page sections will not populate until the ad server has been queried, resolved and transfer data to the destination. Great way to wreck a community.

I agree, this forum is slow. Sometimes pages don't even load. Hence why I rarely contribute anymore.

Why doesn't the problem get fixed?

Problem's on your end, then. I never have any issues with this site loading...

I'm going to ask the support group to look into this, but I don't have any problem with the site loading slowly.

I don't have an issue either, and I use a different computer at home and at work.

Mine is very slow sometimes when I'm at work (on a fairly new ThinkPad with 1gbps connection), but I never have any problems at home (older Compaq on Comcast high speed). The difference is my home machine has AdBlock and NoScript.

I as well experience no slow downs. Can we start reporting times of the slowdowns? Also, your location may help too. I will see if anything corresponds with my performance graphs.

I've never had a problem with this site loading and I'm using a wireless setup with a seriously crappy computer!
