Venting a waste gate into the dumptube(exhaust) or venting into the atmosphere, what are the pros and cons?

well to me, I will probably vent it into the atmosphere, but in some ways I kind of like the idea of venting into the exhaust making the car much quieter and stuff, but as far as performance goes I wouldnt imagine theres much of a difference.

Venting the WG into the atmosphere is better performance-wise. If you were to pipe it back into the downpipe, the different velocities of the exhaust and the wastegate actually slow the combined flow down a bit. I'm not sure by how much though. The only downside to venting it into the atmosphere is that it is loud.
