I've noticed since I've gotten my manual that when in gear and I am not pushin the gas pedal down the stick just chills obviously but when I accelerate the stick moves a little bit. I forget which way but it moves. I've been told this might be my motor mounts, or is it normal?

It is normal that when your accelerating in any particular gear that there will be some play in the stick, and yes it will move a bit. If i were you, i would hook up the energy suspension shifter bushing from www.courtesyparts.com. Its like 7.50 for the bushing and it will tighten up your shifts. Also, while ur at it, hook up some torque mount inserts from them as well. THere 35 bucks and they insert into your existing mounts to stiffen them up and cause less motion of the engine. I would get the 4 set if you want to spend the money. 35 for the torque mount, 35 for the motor mount. You will see which ones go to which when you take of each mount.

it is mostly the motor mount. Specifically the motor mount on the crossmember near the firewall.
